Tourist attraction

island is Ban Chalok Lam village with shops
selling merchandise. One can meet the local
people in the fishermen’s village Chaloklum
and experience their traditional way of
life. The island also offers various activities
like trekking and ridding an elephant in
Pha-Ngan safari. One can relax in herbal
steam sauna at Wat Pho after partying. Herbal

Diving sites
 Koh Pha-Ngan is a small island but it
offers unique diving sites for both the
beginners and trained divers. One can experience
easy dive offs from the beach or tropical
diving by longer trips on boat. The dive
sites are situated on the southwest, west
and north coasts of the island. The water
around Koh Pha-Ngan has fine hard corals
with reefs and tropical fish.
The preferable dive sites in Koh Phagan
include a small island Koh Ma which is connected
to Koh Pha-Ngan by a sand bar. The neighboring
beaches like Haad Salad, Haad Yao and Haad
Chaophao also offer good diving options
to the divers. The west coast of koh phagan
offer good diving sites to the trained divers
as it has fine hard coral reefs at about
20 meter depth. There are some islets also
that act as small walls and also soft and
filtered corals with abundant fish moving
here and there. One can experience deeper
diving in koh wao yai and hin bai where
the water is clear up to 20 meter deep.
Here one can watch underwater scenery and
even get a chance to see big fish like shark
and whale.
Learn Diving
The dive sites in Koh Phagan act as launching

its smooth sandy bottom is painless and
one can enjoy diving between colorful fishes.
The local divers offer introductory dive
course to the experienced divers so that
they can adjust easily according to the
water conditions. There are also beginners
course for 4 days and there are courses
for advanced training to professional level.
